Modern/Jazz Technique

  Train your body and mind for dance. Jennifer Vaughn's Modern/Jazz Technique class helps maximize flexibility, increases strength and balance, and enhances a dancer's ability to convey line, fluidity, and emotion. An extended warm-up is followed by ballet technique, progressions across the floor, and a short piece of choreography intended to focus on a particular aspect of dance technique. Jennifer Vaughn
Jennifer Vaughn has been teaching dance for 20 years. She taught at a variety of studios in the San Francisco Bay Area, then, after relocating to southern California, Jennifer began teaching at Studio A for Dance. Jennifer formed Vaughn Dance Company in 2002—a modern dance company with roots in ballet and jazz. Jennifer's choreography has been featured in various northern and southern California venues, including many Cumulus performances and her company's first full show of original work entitled “Open”, which was performed at Studio A in December 2005.
