Modern Dance

The Class. This is an all-levels class: modern dance beginners, dancers who have been away from class for a while, and intermediate dancers who would like to focus on technique while having some fun. Heather's modern dance background is Limón, Cunningham, Graham and Horton. The class is a fusion of these techniques, as well as, a mash-up of elements pulling from yoga, pilates and post-modern dance release techniques.

about Heather: Heather is a dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and teacher. She has worked as a freelance artist in the film industry for the past 5 years. Prior to moving to California, Heather lived and worked in New York City and trained at the Cunningham and Graham schools, in addition to, taking Fosse repertoire class at Broadway Dance Center. She began as a ballerina training and performing in the Midwest. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from Chapman University and is currently pursuing her MFA in Dance Choregraphy at UCLA. Her goal is to perpetuate love of the moving body.
